Cherie Wong 王卓妍 is a multidisciplinary expert - sociologist, researcher, policy analyst, advocate, and organizer - with experience in public policy areas including foreign interference, feminist labour, youth empowerment, climate justice, and Canada-China policy.
港女 Kong Girl Socialist is Cherie's multimedia project - a digital transnational space for storytelling, critical analysis, and deep dives on current social issues. Residing on occupied Turtle Island, Cherie confronts her settler privilege while navigating statelessness in self-imposed exile as a diasporic Hongkonger. Grounded in feminist, socialist, anti-colonial, and consensus-building values, Kong Girl Socialist is a also reflexive project, through self-reflection, discussions with community members, and interpretation, Cherie produces content that is dedicated to imagine a future of collective liberation.
