Cherie Wong 王卓妍 is a multidisciplinary expert, she utilizes an intersectional anti-oppressive approach to research, advocacy, and community empowerment in her work. Known as a fierce human rights advocate, Cherie has centred anti-oppression, intersectional analysis, and community interests in her work to advance political changes in Canada.
Past Accomplishments:
- Attained international acclaim for publications and advocacy as the founder and Executive Director of Alliance Canada Hong Kong.
- A trailblazer in developing nuanced & groundbreaking policy analyses & recommendations on a wide array of complex social-political issues.
- Offered expert testimony in five parliamentary committees on topics including barriers to immigration, transnational repression & foreign interference, and backsliding of civil & basic rights in Hong Kong.
